Racial profiling is a long period of troubling problems. United States has entered a countered post-racial era. It occurs everyday in many cities and towns across the country. States including Illinois, Connecticut, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Missouri have all encountered racial profiling issues and nothing has been done about it. For example, Mike Brown, an African-American man shot to death by police because they THOUGHT he had a weapon. Also, LaQuan McDonald, another African-American male shot 17 times to death after he walked away from an altercation. Racial profiling is seen nationally, across the world because not only are African-Americans targeted, but also other races like Latino/as and Arab-Americans because of 9/11.
Around the world community activists are formally coming together trying to address the critical global and local concern of racial profiling. Activists around the world have taken public marches, picketing, sitting rallies, petition drives, and even teach-ins. Many did this to win converts to their causes and to change public policies at the local, state, and federal level. These activists around the world dedicated and contributed their time, energy, and passion with the hopes of making a better, more just society for people all across our nation.
