The topic of my Fire Project is racial profiling. Racial profiling is critically important to not only me, but others around the world of different races, and different places. It is an issue of importance to other people around the world who are different than myself because racial profiling is a hurtful, emotional thing to experience and it can change the lives of people and their world views forever. Through my research of the Fire Project, I plan to come up with a plan of action on how to approach racial profiling, how it can be handled, and how it can be solved as well. I also hope to accomplish a movement or group that will influence others around the world to non-violently slow down the rate of racial profiling and possibly even put an end to it. Racial profiling is the use of race or ethnicity as grounds of suspecting someone of having committed suspense. I chose racial profiling because I personally witness it a lot, I see it not only tearing down my own community, but other communities around the world. This causes separation of families, sometimes innocent people dead or in jail, and feelings hurt. In specific, racial profiling only occurs against minority races such as Blacks, Hispanics, and Latinas. According to a December 2012 "Racial Profiling 101" article "some forms of racial profiling commonly discussed in the United States today include the practice of stopping African-American drivers, singling out Latino/as for immigration checks, and searching Arab-Americans in airports"
